Cattail

A perennial aquatic plant, the cattail is easily recognized by its tall, narrow leaves and characteristic brown, cylindrical flower spikes. Capable of reaching heights up to 10 feet, it serves as a striking and functional addition to ponds, wetlands, and other aquatic environments. Cattails require consistently moist conditions to thrive and perform best when planted in shallow, standing water or saturated soil. Available also in dwarf varieties.  Smaller version of Cat Tails - 24" tall.
